“Here for Your Consumption”
Women’s Work Show at Positive Space, Tulsa, Oklahoma
July 3- July 25
Through a surreal banquet of fragmented body parts, decorative excess, and domestic imagery, this self portrait confronts the ways women are aestheticized, consumed, and dismembered by beauty standards, media, and desire. Balancing grotesque humor with vulnerability, “Here for Your Consumption” invites viewers to question where admiration ends and objectification begins.

“Down in the Dumps”
Uncanny Art House, Norman, Oklahoma
March 13- April 5
Drawing from lived experience, the work confronts the contradictions many women grow up within: being encouraged to embrace difference while simultaneously being punished when those differences fall outside of acceptable norms. Through her own body and image, the artist addresses expectations placed on women and the shame that often follows. The photographs are intentionally uncomfortable. Tension, distortion, and vulnerability are present by design, using discomfort as a tool to prompt reflection.
Viewers are invited to examine their own reactions and consider where those responses originate. Rather than offering resolution or perfection, the work moves toward honesty. This exhibition is both a personal reckoning and an invitation to question how unrealistic standards shape self-image, identity, and perception, and how we might move, imperfectly, toward self-acceptance and self love.
