Hey, that’s me! My name is Alex Eischeid and I am an award winning photographer, mentor, and instructor. I have always had a passion for documenting moments in time. It all started when I received a video camera as a present when I was in elementary school. I started taking photos when I started making babies with my amazing and supportive husband, Brian. Those two adorable little squishes in the photo with us are my “reason”. I don’t have many photos of me and my siblings when we were younger so it’s kind of an obsession for me to capture my children’s childhood, authentically. I usually have my camera within arms reach at all times. But let’s talk a bit more about authentic..
I don’t believe in forced smiles
(although we will take some looking at the camera because let’s face it- those are always grandma’s favorites). During our session together, I like to take more of a candid approach to get those authentic smiles. We’ll ask questions, play games, dance together, and be silly together. I want our time to be full of laughter and joy. You know those signs that say “These are the Days”? Well you are living them, right now! So let’s document them together. Let’s make breakfast together. Let’s play in the mud. Let’s run through a field of flowers. Let’s boogie together on the dance floor after you say “I do”. I want to document what makes you and your loved ones uniquely you.
